The Los Angeles office is operated by Laura Barrett and April Godales owners of Assisted Living Locators Los Angeles. Their team services clients from Glendale and Burbank to Santa Monica, including West Hollywood, Century City, Westwood and everything in between. The office also represents clients looking for senior living south of Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley in neighborhoods such as Sherman Oaks, Encino, and Studio City.
Meet Laura Barrett
Co-Owner l Senior Living Advisor, CSA®, CDC®
Laura Barrett is a Certified Senior Advisor® and Dementia Care Certified® professional with more than 35 years of experience supporting older adults and their families. As co-owner of Assisted Living Locators in Los Angeles, she continues a mission that is deeply rooted in compassion: helping families find clarity and confidence during some of life’s most emotional and uncertain moments.
Laura's approach is rooted in lived experience. She cared for both of her parents during hospice and supported her grandmother through Alzheimer’s disease. Like so many families she now works with, she knows what it feels like to try to make the right decisions while navigating fear, grief, and uncertainty all at once. Those experiences continue to shape the way she shows up for every family she meets: patient, present, and focused on what truly matters for each individual situation.
Over the years, Laura has built strong relationships throughout the Los Angeles senior living community and is known for her calm, steady guidance. In addition to her role as co-owner, Laura serves as an authorized Independent Outreach Associate for the Welbe Health Pacific PACE program, helping expand access to supportive care services for seniors utilizing Medi-Cal.
Outside of her work, Laura volunteers with Kidsave, supporting efforts to connect older children in foster care with adoptive families and lifelong mentors. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys going to concerts, spending time with family and friends, and staying connected to the Los Angeles community she cares so deeply about.
